Marie Curie Cofund - FutureData4EU PhD Opportunity

The call for the PhD position titled "Enhancing Dermatologic Interventions through Big Data-Driven Understanding of Placebo Effects", affiliated with both Leiden University and the University of Bologna, is now open. The position is focused on advancing our understanding of placebo and nocebo effects in dermatology. This research topic holds significant relevance due to its potential to transform treatment strategies and improve patient outcomes.

 

What does the project entail?

As part of the prestigious Marie Curie Cofund - FutureData4EU program, this unique opportunity offers candidates a chance to explore innovative methodologies at the intersection of placebo research, dermatology, and big data. The program is designed for outstanding candidates passionate about advancing research in this critical area and are motivated to explore the intricate relationship between patient expectations, treatment outcomes, and neurobiological mechanisms in dermatology.

The position will primarily be affiliated with the University of Bologna, under the guidance of Prof. Katia Mattarozzi from the Department of Medical and Surgical Science. Additionally, the candidate will collaborate with Leiden University under Prof. Andrea Evers, benefitting from their extensive expertise in placebo studies within the dermatological field.
